The One and Only Easy Bracket! |
|
We recently noticed the owners of Ghost/Edge Brackets have elected to make a number of comparisons between Ghost/Edge Brackets and Easy Brackets. We believe it is necessary to respond with the truth and let you the consumers decide. |
-
Patented Product:
Please refer to the attached pictures and patent drawings. As you will see the current Ghost/Edge Bracket bears little resemblance to the original patent. The current Ghost/Edge Bracket is three to four generations removed from the patented Bag-Eez. They copied Easy Brackets after EB was on the market for some months. There correct pitch angle “industry standard” is not even represented in their patent. In fact, the original Bag-Eez was used with a stand off guard purchased seperately. The original “Bag-Eez” had no pitch angle, no keyed locking device and a very small backing plate.
- Original Design Concept:
The fact is Ghost/Edge Brackets copied the Easy Brackets with their current model some months after Easy Brackets introduced their product to the market. Please refer to the attached Ghost/Edge Bracket picture which shows the model they had on the market when Easy Brackets was first sold.
- Staff for Support and Sales:
Easy Brackets currently has ten (10) people on staff.
- Correct Pitch of Bracket:
See response to patent. When Easy Brackets are correctly installed, per instructions, there is no conflict with the swing arm or axle.
- Adjustable Bracket that will fit hundreds of bikes:
Our research shows their adjustable bracket requires adapter kits at an additional cost. They show only (19) bikes on their website, not hundreds. Also the question has been asked why they use 10 gauge materials in lieu of 12 gauge material. Possibly due to the lack of structural integrity of their bracket! Easy Brackets have end plates and do not remove a large amount of the bracket to allow for the adjustable slider, thus removing much of the strength from the bracket.
- Drop down design for quick attach or detach:
Easy Brackets believes the keyhole design allows for easier installation than the drop down (find the slot) design.
- Easy Brackets feature a locking mechanism with a conventional key system and a retractable weather guard built into the lock.
Finally, the owners of Easy Brackets made a decision years ago to go dealer direct and not through distributors. This has allowed us to provide hands on service and support to our dealers and customers. We felt we would not be able to provide this level of service if we were lost in the distributor catalogs. We will let our history of strong customer support be our evidence as to the success of our decision.
The choice is yours! We have confidence in you the consumer to review the facts and make the choice that is right for you.
See you in the wind,
The Owners and Staff

Why
Easy Brackets Bolt-on Saddlebag System?
|
The
Easy Bracket bolt-on saddlebag system provides many benefits.
- Allows you to mount your saddlebags without
damaging the paint on the rear fender which can often happen with
throw-over saddlebag style mounts.
- Convenience of a quick-release mechanism
which turns your saddlebags into portable pieces of luggage. A
must if you road trip frequently and works great with our
Easy
Tote.
- Kits are made especially for the
motorcycles. Forget the hassles from 'Universal' or
'Adjustable' kits that offer less than an ideal fit or make it
difficult to line up the docking posts properly.
- Clean look when you remove the
bag. No ugly hardware left behind.
- With some motorcycle models, you can
avoid conflicts with high shotgun pipes.
- Superior design - Covered side panels that help keep road
grime out and increase the durability and long-term functionality of
Easy Brackets versus other popular models.
- Lower Incline Angle - Other popular
saddlebag bolt-on systems have a 10 degree angle, making the bags stick out too far
from the motorcycle. The Easy Brackets have a smaller 5 degree
angle, making the bags sit more flush to the motorcycle for better
looks.
- Easy Brackets now feature a locking mechanism with a conventional key system and a retractable weather guard built into the lock.
